Edwin Westreicher, Priv.-Doz. Dr. habil.

Growing up on a cattle farm started Edwin Westreicher with a lifetime of experience in the animal agriculture industry, which he is sharing with dairy customers in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa as technical services manager at NOVUS.

Dr. Westreicher works with feed mills, nutritionists, and dairy producers to determine the best management practices and nutritional solutions to support their cows and meet operational and financial goals. He also works as a link between the company’s R&D group and global strategic marketing teams, and provides vital training for the commercial teams.

Before joining NOVUS, Dr. Westreicher served as a senior researcher in ruminant nutrition at Schothorst Feed Research in The Netherlands where he aided in the development of feed evaluation system for dairy cows, coordinated research, and completed various research projects on topics ranging from feed trials to in vitro and situ experiments. He also consulted feed mill companies.

He completed his habilitation degree at the University of Kiel (Germany). He has a master’s degree and doctorate in agricultural science from the University of Hohenheim (Germany) and a degree in agronomic engineering from Zamorano Pan-American Agricultural University (Honduras).

Dr. Westreicher speaks English, Spanish, German, and Dutch.
